Our story and our mission

Our personal journey
Good Neighbor Senior Advocates grew from more than 20 years of experience working throughout the healthcare field, including nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care. Over the years, I have seen firsthand how difficult it can be for individuals and families to navigate care, understand their options, and stay connected when they cannot always be physically present.
This mission is also deeply personal to me. My own mother experienced different levels of care, including hospital care, home care, and nursing home care. There were times when I wanted to be there for her but couldn't, especially when I lived out of town. I understand what it feels like to love someone, want to know that they are okay and being cared for, but not always be able to physically be there.
Those professional and personal experiences inspired Good Neighbor Senior Advocates. I wanted to create the kind of service I would have valued for my own family: someone trustworthy who can show up when you can't.

More than just a service: a good neighbor
What makes Good Neighbor Senior Advocates different is that our work is personal. The individuals and families we serve are never just clients or numbers to us. We build genuine relationships based on trust, compassion, respect, and consistency.
When you welcome Good Neighbor into your life, we want you to feel as though you've gained another trusted member of your family. We take the time to know the person behind the care needs—their preferences, concerns, personality, and what matters most to them.
Our relationship doesn't have to end once a facility is chosen or an immediate problem is solved. As needs change, we can continue walking alongside individuals and families through advocacy, wellness visits, family updates, companionship, and non-medical support. You aren't just hiring a service. You're gaining a Good Neighbor.

Simplifying senior care decisions for your family
Good Neighbor Senior Advocates makes care decisions less overwhelming by doing much of the research and legwork for individuals and families. Instead of spending hours trying to compare facilities and services, we research options based on each person's specific needs and preferences, including available services, accepted insurance, accommodations, amenities, and other important factors.
We then narrow those choices into manageable, carefully selected options so individuals and families can make informed decisions with confidence. Our support doesn't stop once a care decision is made. Through wellness visits, advocacy, and family updates, we help answer the questions families often worry about: How is my loved one doing? Are they comfortable? Are they eating? Do they seem happy? Are there concerns I should know about?
We observe, document, communicate, and help families stay connected when they cannot always be there themselves
